This week we filter the darkest, most cynical, and bleakest impressions of Los Angeles through the tabloid and exploitative lens of television news in Dan Gilroy's 2014 Nightcrawler. Featuring a powerful and disturbing performance from Jake Gyllenhaal, Nightcrawler is one of the great films of the 2010s.
