Watch This With Rick Ramos

This week I got lucky enough to see a double feature of Ridley Scott's Alien (1979) and James Cameron's Aliens (1986) at The Historic Egyptian Theater. This was an amazing experience and one that let me see, firsthand, how incredibly different these two films are from one another. From character and story development to size and spectacle, the differences were striking. Hopefully, you'll enjoy what I saw and what I have to say. Thanks.

I've been threatening it for the past few weeks, but I've finally made good on my promise to tackle Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. So this week - with nothing but shit in theaters - I go into the library and talk one of the most influential films in cinema history. I go back and forty in my appreciation for this movie, and I have to admit that this hour and twenty minutes of talk don't make it any clearer . . . but it was a hell of a good time doing it. Take a listen and et me know what you think. Many, Many Thanks.

On this weeks episode of WatchThis With Rick Ramos I sit down with one of my closest friends, Religious Scholar Ibrahim Chavez to talk Religion, Tradition, Hypocrisy, and the Historical Influence of Jesus Christ. Doing all of this there was no way we weren't get into Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ and Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ. Take a listen and let me know what you think. Thanks.

On this episode of WatchThis w/Rick Ramos I take advantage of the Revival House Opportunities available to all of us living in the Greater Los Angeles area. This week I had the opportunity to watch two Coen Brothers classics - The Hudsucker Proxy and the Academy Award winning Fargo. As always, Thanks for the Support!

I started off with the idea that I was going to talk about Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. Well, that didn't work out exactly like I had hoped. I found myself having to give full episodes to both of these films. so this week we talk about Reservoir Dogs (later in the week we'll get into Pulp Fiction). On this episode we talk a brilliant debut and we get into what makes it so. Enjoy. Can't wait to sit down with you guys again. See you later in the week. Thanks For Everything.
